I’m As Mad As Hell! [Video]

One of my student’s shared this video on Facebook, and this is from an old English movie called Network (1976). It really inspired me, so I thought I’d paste it on my blog for all the people to realize what the traditional media is doing to us. We need such a revolution for our country and we need to get up and bring that change ourselves rather than sitting on our seats and expecting the corrupt politicians and the so called higher authorities to do something about it! Long Live Pakistan!

Check out the video below and share it if you get what I am talking about!

The McDonald’s Rap

Just though I’d drop in for a random post today. In fact I couldn’t resist posting this up. Yea Yea .. I know its old.. I have seen it a long time back too .. but just got a chance to watch this video again today.. so I thought I’d put it up on my blog to share.

Interesting rap by this guy about McDonald’s. The video is shared on Youtube, and he has done other rap videos as well.. but this one just caught my attention.

That’s the power of consumers talking about a brand. Every brand strives to get to this stage… I’ve done too much talking I guess.. I should stop .. and you better watch the video if you haven’t .. So here goes:

Oxfam – Youtube Cannes Contest – My Video Entry

I have been waiting for this contest to start off so that I could participate. It was a great opportunity for a lot of creative young minds to explore and try out their skills in this Youtube 48-hour ad contest. Since I also tried and made up a video for it with my cell phone camera, it really took the brains to think of a different concept. One of my first actual videos that I made for the internet, which I cannot really rate myself. But atleast I did an effort and I am happy about it :) .

Here’s the video, please watch and rate it on Youtube, I need your support to increase the chances of it being competitive guys.

Well I dont know if the concept turned out too obvious, but I wanted to say that the smoke that we create through human activities and pleasures everyday, is resulting in passive smoking for the earth. And of course we all know that passive smoking kills. And yeah.. alot people have been asking me what am I doing with the banana in the end… well.. it is used to block the car exhaust of other people so that they don’s use their cars as well… in other words you should help others to not create passive smoke for the earth. Yeah.. too technical? lolz..

Please do rate a high 5-star on Youtube guys.. Please do it .. I need your support :)

Exciting Prison!!

We’ve all heard about how horrible and scary prisons can be, haven’t we? But I was browsing Youtube today, when I saw a video named ”Thriller” (original upload) with a thumbnail showing guys wearing orange clothes. I didn’t know what it was about, however I anticipated that it looked like a choreographed dance or something. Since I have been one of the biggest fan of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, I was tempted to click on it.. that I did of course.

I was surprised to see that the video is of a Prison called CPDRC (Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center), which is a maximum security prison in Cebu, in the Cebu Province, the Philippines. Before I carry on with the history and details about the CPDRC, check out the video below. For the first time after watching this video, I thought maybe prisons are not that bad after all ;)

Thriller – CPDRC

I was intrigued by watching this video, and I thought to dig out more and find out what this prison CPDRC is all about. The dance choreography was started by Byron Garcia, who was the official security advisor to the Cebu government and was assigned the head of the prison by Gwendolyn Garcia (his brother), governor of Cebu Province. Byron initially wanted to introduce a program at CPDRC, where the prisoners would exercise for one hour everyday. But when he saw the waves of of prisoners exercising together, he thought of introducing marching routines with drums, but later moved on to making them dance on music.

Byron Garcia has his own Youtube Channel which can be accessed here. He first uploaded a prisoner choreography named Algorithm March, but that video was entirely ignored by the youtube population. But the next upload, “Thriller – by Michael Jackson” choreography, the one I posted above, got great publicity. In December 2007, the Thriller video of the CPDRC inmates was rated 5th of the top 10 viral videos by Times Magazine.

Google to find out more about the CPDRC. Check out some more videos by the CPDRC inmates below:
