Arsenal Wins Against Liverpool

With 1-0 down against Liverpool at the end of the first half, Arsenal pull the match off with a 2-1 win over Liverpool. A better performance as compared to the 1st half, they managed to get two goals. The equalizer was an own goal by Johnson, who got a bit unlucky, but it would be wrong if I say Arshavin did not have any part to play in that goal.

The second goal was a screamer by Arshavin! When he got the pass at the edge of the box, I did think that he would take an off the goal shoot. But the shoot actually bulleted in the goal after getting an inside edge. Fantastic! Reina actually had no chance…

Chelsea is at the top of the table with 37 points having played 16 games. Manchester United stand at second with 34 points in 16 games. And after the win today at Anfield, Arsenal crawls up to 31 points in 15 games. Finally we have a real chance of winning the title after 2004 …

Not bad… Finally things are starting to get better at the Emirates… and I hope it only gets better … Okay I’m relieved now, lets get off the soccer topic …

EPL: Liverpool vs Arsenal (13th December 2009)

Arsenal makes the trip to Anfield this Sunday in EPL and almost everyone has disregarded Arsenal and Liverpool out of the top four… its stupid and too early to say anything … I have been listening to these stories since the last 4 to 5 years …

I have no clue why everyone just talks about Manchester United and Chelsea as only being the two title contenders. Its just the start of the season and the British media just likes to speculate and sell their content! Its stupid when the league is so open … all these idiots had nothing to say when Manchester United lost to Aston Villa yesterday and dropped 3 points? Even the Chelsea and Everton game ended in a draw, and Chelsea dropped 2 points.. and they were roaring that they are invincibles.. yeah right!!

Arsenal still has a game in hand .. and if they win against Liverpool, they will be only 2 points behind Man Utd with one game in hand. These stupid media and PR tactics get on to my nerves seriously… Grow up people… oh please… pretty please!

Update: It’s half time and Arsenal are 1-0 down at the moment … the game has been good .. but Liverpool is dominating the game with possession and attempts on goal… We still need a solid performance from Arsenal in the second half… The second half is about to start … I’m off for now…

Disappointing Performance by Arsenal against West Ham

I was too disappointed to write about anything after the match yesterday, because Arsenal’s performance was totally disappointing. For a second I felt that Arsenal was just being too over confident with West Ham, who took the chance and scored two goals to put the scores level.

Its stupid to lose such points and dropping points in this match can become a problem for Arsenal when it comes to the League table standing. Just don’t feel like writing more on this…

I have been so busy lately that I haven’t got the time to watch any Arsenal matches this month. Arsenal’s performance has been great this season so far and for me … every coming game is a big game for Arsenal because we need to keep going on with consistency. Arsenal’s current position on the league table is 4th with 18 points and 2 games in hand as compared to the table leaders Chelsea who are standing up there with 24 points.

We’re very much in the league and all the games that Arsenal play have to be won in order to stay in the ‘title race.’ We have a clash between Liverpool and Manchester United today, which is going to be a thriller and I will go with Liverpool because of two reasons. Firstly, being an Arsenal fan I’m going to naturally favor Liverpool over Manchester United. Secondly if Liverpool wins, ManU is not going to be at the top of the table losing 3 important points. Even if the game is going to end up in a draw … I’ll be glad since ManU will again end up losing 2 important points.

Okay back to the West Ham vs Arsenal game. I am really eager to see Nasri back in the squad, because I feel he can give that further acceleration to the side. It would be amazing to see Arshavin, Fabregas, Nasri and Rosicky in the midfield… just imagine the deadly combination! Okay … I’m off for now … too excited to watch the match .. just can’t wait!!

Back After 4 Damn Months?!!

Hey Guys,

Finally after 4 months, I am reviving my digital notebook yet AGAIN… I know its really stupid to do that, and I have no real excuses apart from the fact that I had been up to several things lately. Though I know I’ve just lost it now, cause I have not been writing anything here lately, but that does not mean I have been hibernating all that time.

Have made pretty decent progress in all that time, and following is a list to update you guys with whatever I have been doing:

Had been working on launching PakMediaBlog. Well to be honest, this was the main reason that took up majority of my time and I couldn’t get back here to writing about whatever I have been up to. It is a media blog for Pakistan (my country), where I am happy to have several contributors who write about topics related to Marketing, Advertising, Media as well as a lot of random issues. Its growing and getting noticed further, which is encouraging for me. If you wish to check it out please click here!
I’ve also been lucky to get a start to a teaching career. People who knew me from always could never have thought I could speak in public, but this is transition guys … I’m glad I’m over my biggest fear and have moved on.. FINALLY! Yes.. If you would have asked me 4 months ago what are my weaknesses… the only thing I felt I was weak in was public speaking and presentations. I’m also glad to get a good creative bunch of students both in the summer semester as well as the fall semester, which makes the sessions more interesting. Will keep you posted on the progress.
I’ve also been up to launching a few more websites, as I have been learning more and more about how dot com business work out. Although they are still in the pipeline, but will be out soon.
I had also been working on the concept of “brand blogging,” but the problem is that none of the marketing teams in this country (Pakistan) understand the true essence of blogging. I’m not going to tell you the full details of what has been happening .. but for GOD’s sake blogging cannot be planted .. and PUHLEEASEEEEEE.. can you please maintain the difference between blogging and SPAMMING? Its just LAME .. and no one likes it!! ..

Well that’s more or less about what has been happening at my end lately. And all of this does not mean I am disconnected with my first love. No I’m not talking about a ‘hot chick’ here, I’m talking about Arsenal FC.. a team which is just plain amazing (shoo ManU & Chelsea fans!) … I had been criticizing them during the end of the last season .. because it hurts to see them lose.. but .. Wenger is the man as always .. and he has put together a good team.. I just hope this team keeps on going as it is .. they have given us a GREAT start ..
