Alonso is a very good option I guess because he can give that strong backing, confidence and thrust that is required in the whole team. We never score from headers... in fact if you notice.. our players are very uncomfortable with the air balls.. and I guess we don't put in much time practicing air balls .. since Arsenal's whole style of play is built around ground passing and one touch and two touch football! And since we are not good at handling air balls, our players are not confident enough to deal with headers... We are also very vulnerable in defending crosses and corners.. which is such stupidity! In all honesty I think Song should stay (as a substitute) get Alonso or someone good. For ur info. Sol Campbell left on a free transfer (like Flamini). And Silvestre was bought at age 31 (I know, it's worse than you thought). And it's weird, we're the least in the big 4(possibly the entire league) to score from headers. Only Gallas and Bendtner and Adebayour once. Chelsea had 4 attacks, and scored 3 goals, Toure scored an unfortunate own goal. Arshavin was sick (flu), so we can't blame Wenger on that, not playing Bendt and Ade was weird and Diaby was very, very disappointing. It proves that a few players make a difference, it all started last year with Rosicsky (Get well soon) ,Eduardo, Gallas and Clichy Should've been on that pitch.
