Thats very intresting analysis of yours Sarosh!! I agree with you guys!! Arsenal defended very well!! But I insist, I never saw any glimpses of BEAUTIFUL football arsenal used to play in that match! They were completely undone by manu!! But!! fortunately the score is still 1-nil!! and the game in Emirates stadium will be a wakeup call for arsenal!! Hopefully, arsenal will be showing some strengths there!

One more thing Nick, Gerrard stayed not because of money, but for his fans, for his hometown club and his belief to carry forward this club to be title contenders. He even rejected big money move made by Real Madrid and Manchester City where he could have been highest paid footballer after Beckham.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for understanding my point of view mate .. and I do agree to what you are saying ... that maybe I was very frustrated... after taking all the BS from all the ManU supporters ... I do agree that we should believe in this team and I do support Arsenal .. and will always keep doing that ... all I meant from the last line of my post, was that we need to correct the things that I pointed out in terms of the improvisation ... Arsenal plays the best game of football on this planet.. but they need to be more responsive... and we need to be cautious and take the chances we get in a more hungry way ... all I meant was that there was no hunger in our squad yesterday .. and Porto plays better in a semi or a quarter final .. and we never fought back the way we should have in a quarter final..

Apologies to anyone who got hurt from this post of mine ... but I am glad you understood the level of frustration I had been going through ... and to be very honest.. I love this club and I want it to win something now... and not that I will stop supporting it if we don't win..

This email/post that I wrote is more of an emotional outburst .. that did offend a lot of Gunners.. which was never the intention ..

Thanks & Regards,

Very long letter that I didn't read all of, I must admit, but it seems like a big overreaction to a bad performance. I agree we are very poor defensively but I think that last night was the back five's best performance since it was loosely thrown together due to a variety of injuries. All of our best players were defenders for a start. Almunia was immense (man of the match), Gibbs proved his critics wrong after his performance at Anfield and kept one of the best attackers in the world relatively quiet, Toure was commanding and Silvestre, who I despise, put in a very good performance (I think inspired by playing against his old side). Overall, I think that our defence managed to restrict the defeat to 1-0 and so really we should be asking why, knowing our defence is shaky, we didn't attack more and try and get a vital away goal. Also, your criticism of Arsenal players is apt in many cases but it is merely because of the modern world of football. If you look at any top club you will see similar instances of players looking to leave and manipulate their club for all of the money that they can get (even Sky's favourite "Liverpool through and through" Gerard wanted to leave when Chelsea came calling until his wages were doubled). You even suggest that if we lose the second leg then our 'fan support will no longer be there'; if you are suggesting that if we fail to progress against one of the best two sides in Europe - regardless of performance - that we will stop supporting the Arsenal makes me question whether you are really the committed fan you make yourself out to be.
I get the impression that you are very frustrated by yesterday's performance and so am I. Arriving home at 2:30 this morning, spending around £80 and seeing the M6 and later M1 flooded with cockney reds did not ease my pain but I will keep the faith and I believe it's still feasible that we can go through even if we are underdogs.
As I have stressed at many points this season BELIEVE
